About the Webinar:

This webinar will provide Ombud’s support staff with a better understanding of the standards of practice (IOA) and how these principles impact how each support person performs their role. In addition, the session will provide insight into best practices for working with visitors, formal channels, managing the office and building awareness of the Ombud’s Program in a variety of organizations.

As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • How to effectively deal with all types of visitors who use the Ombuds Program
  • How to build awareness of what the Ombuds service provides
  • How to effectively protect confidentiality, neutrality, informality, and independence as a support person in an Ombuds Program.
  • How to work effectively with internal partners while remaining independent, neutral and informal.

Wendy Friede is currently Principal of Friede Consulting Services, LLC where she assists organizations to establish and grow their Ombuds functions; evaluate their internal issue resolution systems and in some cases serves as the organizational Ombuds.
